Parenting classes: classes teach effective discipline skills while helping parents develop more positive communication between them and their children. Partnership programs: include, in-home visitations by family development specialists; parent support groups to help with the day-to-day strains of parenting; and supervised visitations for families whose children have been removed from the home. Stress and anger management classes: to assist people to change patterns of behavior that are inappropriate, counterproductive and/or dangerous to themselves or others. Boys and Girls Club: a local club affiliated with the national Boys and Girls Club. The program provides homework help, after school programs, educational enhancement activities, summer youth programs and Youth Quest, a program targeted toward youth who have a high risk of being involved with the juvenile justice system.
