Nonprofits' Insurance Alliance of California (NIAC) was founded in 1989 because many nonprofits California were unable to find affordable liability insurance for their operations. NIAC is governed by the nonprofits it insures and exists solely to serve them. In 2004, NIAC received an A (Excellent) financial rating from A.M. Best. In addition to providing reasonably priced insurance coverage and claims service that is sensitive to needs of nonprofits and their clients, it is our goal to reduce accidents and claims against nonprofits. Consequently we have a broad variety of education and loss control resources free to our member-insureds.
