Mission

The Monarch School and Institute is globally recognized and dedicated to providing an innovative, therapeutic education for individuals with neurological differences in an environment that supports self-determination and empowerment in the greater community.

About

The Monarch School utilizes a unique therapeutic approach with Four Core Goals (TM) and sequential, developmental objectives in the areas of self-regulation and self-awareness, executive functions, relationship development, and academic and professional competencies. We offer safe environments where students can experience developmentally appropriate practices designed to help them progress. - CHRYSALIS supports students at the preschool, elementary, and secondary academic levels in their development. The core goals are addressed through a developmental level system. This educational approach is holistic, being both therapeutic and academic. - BUTTERFLY serves students at the middle and high school academic levels (grades 6-12). Students navigate a multi-part schedule (changing classes) interacting with a variety of students and adults throughout their day. Students engage in one of three program pathways in preparation for a 4 year or 2 year college program and/or Monarch's Transition Services. - THE LIFE ACADEMY features student operated businesses, entrepreneurial training, and internship/employment opportunities as part of Monarch's day school program. - TRANSITION SERVICES helps guide young adults toward increased capacity for employment, education, and life outside their family home. Services may include transitional, educational, employment, and living experiences with Monarch supervisory faculty in houses and apartments near the Monarch campus. - THERAPY SERVICES AND DIAGNOSTIC CLINIC provides unique, team based assessment, consultation, and therapeutic support services to children and adults. Also offered: DIRFloortime, Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Educational Consultation, and Music Therapy. Enrollment for the 2018-2019 year was approximately 119 students.
