International Funders for Indigenous Peoples (IFIP) seeks to transform the relationship between the funding world and Indigenous Peoples to one of mutual understanding and benefit. IFIP recognizes the urgent need for solutions that are led and understood by Indigenous Peoples not only to improve lives in Indigenous communities but also as a resource for solving social, economic and environmental challenges around the world for everyone. IFIP ADOPTED A NEW STRATEGIC FRAMEWORK IN 2017. THE NEW FRAMEWORK RESPONDS TO OUR STAKEHOLDERS INPUT AND SET THE STAGE TO STRENGTHEN IFIP AND ITS PROGRAMS AT A TIME WHEN COLLABORATION AND COMMITMENT TO ADVANCING INDIGENOUS RIGHTS AND ISSUES IS IMPERATIVE.PROGRAM STRATEGYIFIPS STRATEGIC GOAL IS TO EXPAND THE SPHERE OF FUNDERS AND COLLABORATIVE ACTION AMONG FUNDERS AND INDIGENOUS PEOPLES TO SUPPORT AND ADVANCE ISSUES OF IMPORTANCE TO INDIGENOUS PEOPLES.INTERNATIONAL FUNDERS FOR INDIGENOUS PEOPLES (IFIP) SEEKS TO TRANSFORM THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THE FUNDING WORLD AND INDIGENOUS PEOPLES TO ONE OF MUTUAL UNDERSTANDING AND BENEFIT. THE INSTITUTE AIMS TO SEED THE TRANSFORMATION OF THE FUNDING SECTOR TO ONE OF RESPECT AND UNDERSTANDING OF INDIGENOUS PEOPLES AND TO GROW FUNDING PARTNERSHIPS THAT ADOPT VALUE-BASED PARTNERSHIPS THAT MORE EFFECTIVELY ADDRESS STRUGGLES FACED BY INDIGENOUS PEOPLES. INDIGENOUS TERRITORIES FUNDERS WORKING GROUP - FACILITATES A COLLABORATIVE SPACE FOR IFIP MEMBERS ON ISSUES THAT RELATE TO STEWARDSHIP OF LAND AND SEASCAPES, SELF-DETERMINED MANAGEMENT OF RESOURCES, CLIMATE RESILIENCE, AND PROTECTION OF BIOCULTURAL DIVERSITY.
