During the year, the 2000 Roses Foundation operated training and development programs for its clients and others. The objective of these programs was to provide the participants with the knowledge and skills needed to be productive in society.Our agency served 810 people during the year, this includes the count from client services and outside agencies.Job training programs were conducted to teach skills necessary for employment in the wholesale and/or retail industries.Shipping and receiving training and point of sale was part of the resale training at the Rose Garden Training Store.There were several Entrepreneurial Skills classes taught to the program's participants as well as others from the community, including jewelry and candle making, sewing classes, landscaping, and maintenance class also taught at the training school located inside the Rose Garden Store.The 2000 Roses Foundation collaborated in an on the job training program focused upon preparing participants for full or part time employment in the construction industry. During this reporting period our clients were trained through their involvment in the renovation project, an on site in the 10th Street Historical District. Under the supervision of DRD Construction Company.During the year, the 2000 Roses Foundation organized and facilitated community cleanups for the 10th Street Historical District. Other organizations participating in these efforts included the City of Dallas, Preservation Dallas, local business and churches in the community.During the year, 2000 Roses Foundation continued to work the food pantry and clothes closet to assist families in the community with food, tolletries and clothing. During the year the Directors of the organization continued their emphasis on improving rehabilitation programs being offered to women who are being released from prison and treatment centers.During the year, the organization continued it's alliance with the Delancey Street Foundation of San Francisco, California. This relationship made additional training resources and support services available to the organization. The Delancey Street Foundation closely monitors the organization's acctivities in Dallas.During the year, 2000 Roses Foundation worked closely with Volunteer D\Center of North Texas to provide an outlet for community service hours to be done at our agency. in turn we had a lot of support and help for our programs.
