The Autistic Treatment Center dba Autism Treatment Center (ATC) was established in Dallas, Texas in 1976 as a private nonprofit corporation providing education services for children with autism. Two years later, the Center opened a second program in San Antonio, Texas. The mission of the Autism Treatment Center is to assist people with autism and related disorders throughout their lives as they learn, play, work and live in the community. Today, ATC offers four core services: Education, Residential, Adult Vocational and Outpatient Therapy providing Speech, Occupational Therapy, and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). ATC currently owns and operates 26 community-based group homes, two adult day services facilities and four outpatient therapy clinics.
