About
Texas Wesleyan University was founded by the Methodist Episcopal Church in 1890 and is the longest-serving higher education institution in Fort Worth. Its historic campus includes more than 75 acres, just four miles southeast of downtown and is on one of the highest points in the city. Led by President Frederick G. Slabach, Texas Wesleyan's 2020 Vision Strategic Plan creates a roadmap for the future of the university, with key focuses on campus enhancement through the revitalization of its Polytechnic Heights neighborhood, marketing and branding, academic distinction, financial vitality and enhancing the student experience. Texas Wesleyan offers undergraduate degrees in the schools of business, arts and letters, education and natural and social sciences. Additionally, Texas Wesleyan offers graduate degrees in the schools of business, education and health professions. The university offers an honors curriculum as well as a pre-professional program.
