To organize and present a civic celebration commemorating the victory at San Jacinto and the heroic spirit of the Alamo by sponsoring a parade in downtown San Antonio, Texas. This year marked the 127th anniversary celebration of the parade. The parade has entertained San Antonio every year since 1891, except during the world wars. This parade is the only one in the nation produced entirely by volunteer women.
