Mission

About

NOIR CITY Film Festivals. NOIR CITY, the annual San Francisco Film Noir Festival, begun in 2003, is the largest film noir-specific event in the U.S., and the centerpiece of the Film Noir Foundation's public awareness campaign. In addition to the 10-day San Francisco flagship festival at the Castro Theatre, the Film Noir Foundation hosted NOIR CITY festivals in 7 US cities: Austin, Chicago, Detroit, Boston, Hollywood, Seattle, Washington, D.C., plus a one-night event at the Castro Theatre in December -- Noir City Xmas. In addition to the film festivals, the FNF produced in FY2018 the quarterly NOIR CITY e-magazine, the printed NOIR CITY Annual publication, as well as promotional items including mugs and T-shirts -- all available for sale at NOIR CITY festivals.
