The Army Scholarship Foundation (ASF) grants academic scholarships to the children of soldiers and the spouses of active duty, enlisted soldiers. ASF actively solicits and receives contributions from the general public and corporations to fund its activities. The scholarships allow eligible recipients the opportunity to pursue their education where they might otherwise be unable to do so. In 2014, ASF awarded 36 scholarships representing a 64% increase over 2013.
