In 2019 the organization conducted numerous 'Travels with a Scholar' study tours. Participants learned about Native American culture as they hiked the ancestral sites of the Bears Ears National Monument landscape. They learned about the past history and current issues of Picuris Pueblo and the Jurassic to Tertiary geologic story and the eventual demise of the Ortiz volcanic system. They explored the Navajo Sandstone formations of Zion National Monument and Snow Canyon State Parks and the geologic history and native culture of the Colorado River. Serving 663 attendees in 25 event days. Southwest Seminars worked with other organizations, private groups and families creating and running educational lectures, walking tours and cultural immersion programs. Serving 340 attendees in 12 event days.
