Mission

Austin Free-Net is a 501c3 nonprofit providing digital literacy training and technological access in our most vulnerable communities. Established in 1995, our mission is to provide those with limited or no access in Austin, with free public computer access and training in order to assist them in using the technological tools of the 21st century and thriving in the digital age. Austin Free-Net trains people in basic digital literacy skills, up to more advanced IT certifications. We are a Virtual University Enterprises (VUE) authorized testing center for Pearson. Austin Free-Net's digital literacy and Adult Basic Education center has served 35,977 people and provided 49,993 hours of training opportunities over the past year (and counting).

Austin Free-Net offers free digital literacy training and community access to technology in community labs around Austin. All community members are welcome with no need for an appointment or ID.
