About this organization
Mission
CCEMS was founded in 1975, by citizens who watched a neighbor die of a heart attack waiting on a private ambulance that never came. We are now the 9-1-1 EMS responder for a section of North Harris County Texas that’s larger in land mass and population than Atlanta. We also handle dispatch for 15 other emergency agencies. CCEMS has become a leader in heart attack and stroke pre-hospital care. CCEMS is now one of just 2 ground EMS systems in the country carrying whole blood in the field. Our accredited academy teaches the next generation of medics and our public education in CPR, First Aid, Bleeding Control, etc. reaches thousands. Our tactical medics provide front-line medical support for law enforcement and we are a leader in tactical EMS & bike officer/medic training.
