About
Assisted employment retail. Goodwill retail locations drive over 60% of the total revenue to fund no cost education, career training, and job placement services for people who are marginalized in our community. Retail stores also serve as transitional employment sites offering training, work experience, and income for people with obstacles to work, while select locations house career centers providing one-on-one career services and access to education/training programs. GCT also provides one-on-one career coaching to eligible DGR team members to help people meet their basic needs, identify their career goals, and obtain the skills necessary to meet those goals. See Schedule O for continued explanation. In 2018, Goodwill retail stores provided employment to 2,795 people, of which 1,055 were individuals with a disability or barrier to employment.
