Grundy EMS provides treatment & transport for all emergency and non-emergency calls regardless of ability to pay. During FY 2017, GEMS answered over 4300 calls for assistance. Grundy EMS operates in Grundy County & the mountain areas of Franklin County. (They operate in Franklin County from a separate facility in Sewanee, TN.) They also have contractual agreements to provide service for the mountainous portion of I-24 in Marion County and to provide back-up emergency ambulatory coverage to much of Franklin & Marion counties.
