Mission
The corporation was created for charitable, educational and social welfare purposes to assist the New Orleans Fire Department. Friends of NOFD also serve as a liaison between the public and private sectors of the city of New Orleans. The main priorities are to operate, maintain and promote the New Orleans Fire Department museum. Disseminate information concerning fire safety, prevention and education. Commemorate New Orleans Fire Department members who died in the line of duty. To honor NOFD members for outstanding duty and service to the citizens of New Orleans and to render educational, social services and assistance in fire safety and prevention to the general public and the members of the NOFD.
