O) DYNAMIC LEARNING ENVIRONMENT, BUILDING STRENGTH OF INTELLECT AND STRENGTH OF CHARACTER WITHIN A COMMUNITY THAT IS SIMULTANEOUSLY CHALLENGING AND SUPPORTIVE. OUR STUDENTS LEARN TO BE FLEXIBLE, TO BE ADAPTABLE, AND TO FACE THE CHALLENGES OF LIFE WITH HONOR, OPTIMISM, CONFIDENCE, CREATIVITY, AND A SENSE OF HUMOR.

METAIRIE PARK COUNTRY DAY SCHOOL'S PRIMARY FUNCTION IS PROVIDING A COMPREHENSIVE NONSECTARIAN EDUCATION TO STUDENTS IN PRE-K THROUGH TWELTH GRADE. THE SCHOOL IS ORGANIZED INTO THREE SEPARATE DIVISIONS: A LOWER SCHOOL, MIDDLE SCHOOL, AND UPPER SCHOOL. THE LOWER SCHOOL OFFERS PRE-KINDERGARTEN THROUGH FIFTH GRADE, WHILE THE MIDDLE SCHOOL OFFERS GRADES SIX THROUGH EIGHT, AND THE UPPER SCHOOL OFFERS GRADES NINE THROUGH TWELVE. EACH SCHOOL PROVIDES AFTER SCHOOL ACTIVITIES THAT CATER SPECIFICALLY TO THE AGES OF THE ENROLLED STUDENTS. THE LOWER SCHOOL OFFERS AN AFTER-SCHOOL DAY CARE AS WELL AS AN AFTER-SCHOOL HOMEWORK CLINIC AND OTHER ENRICHMENT COURSES. BOTH THE MIDDLE AND UPPER SCHOOLS OFFER STUDENTS A WIDE RANGE OF EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES INCLUDING ATHLETIC PROGRAMS, MUSIC DEVELOPMENT (CONT'D TO SCH. O) PROGRAMS , AND COMMUNITY SERVICE PROGRAMS. A TOTAL OF 732 STUDENTS WERE ENROLLED FOR THE 2017-2018 SCHOOL YEAR, 253 OF WHOM RECEIVED FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FROM THE SCHOOL. THE SCHOOL ALSO HAS AN EARLY CHILDHOOD DIVISION FOR CHILDREN SIX WEEKS UP TO 4 YEARS OF AGE.
