About this organization
Mission
The mission of Key Community Housing is to diligently promote and participate in partnerships to create and maintain accessible, affordable housing options for people with developmental disabilities.
About
Key Community Housing responded to hundreds of property management calls and was able to complete vendor dispatch and repairs. The organization was able to recruit 2 individuals to its Board, making their governance team complete for the upcoming year. The Board toured the 11 homes and assessed their conditions as well as met the staff. Additionally, Talin Keshishian-Walker made 41 visits to the homes. Key Community Housing received consulting services for Board Development. Furthermore, plans were established and our Property Management approach was streamlined. Future program growth and advancement opportunities were developed for execution. Talin Keshishian-Walker developed the S.H.A.R.E. program (Supportive Housing Assistance for Rental Emergencies) which provided as-needed rental assistance to low-income individuals and families residing in LA County. Additionally, Talin Keshishian-Walker attended the Lanterman Housing Alliance Summit in Sacramento and networked with Regional Centers. Overall, the programs at the homes were solidified through ongoing partnerships. In December, Key Community Housing was awarded a grant with San Diego Regional Center to acquire and develop an Enhanced Behavioral Supports Home (EBSH) for 4-autistic adults. Key Community Housing is well on its way towards growth and expansion in the years to come.
