About

Special Education Services: Timothy Murphy School (TMS) was established in 1985 as a non-public school serving boys with special needs. Initially, it was founded to serve the boys who live at St. Vincents School for Boys, a residential treatment facility in Marin County. The school is funded through the California State Department of Education to provide special education services to boys age seven (7) to eighteen (18) years of age. The majority of our students are residents of St. Vincents and in recent years our programs outreach has broadened to include boys who live in the greater Bay Area community. Other students may also be referred to TMS for placements if the students are eligible through the special education placement guidelines. The main campus of TMS is located on the St. Vincents property. The TMS program is designed to serve students who have severe emotional, learning and behavioral challenges.
