About
Direct client services - when people on California's rural north coast face breast or gynecologic cancer concerns, they have turned to us for free cancer resource support services for 22 years. In 2018, 405 clients received over 6,000 services from the compassionate staff and volunteers, many of whom are cancer survivors themselves. We provide up-to-date, high quality information but no medical services. Clients are able to choose from six different support groups. BGHP's lending library has over 1,000 books with topics that change with client needs and interests. Decision support services and consultation plans are provided by BGHP's medical consultant and trained staff. Grassroots support from donors, volunteers and grant funders keep the diverse services available for all.
