About this organization
Mission
Use it up, wear it out, make it do or do without. That’s the philosophy behind Resource Depot, where people are encouraged to give discarded materials a new life through art and education. For more than 20 years, Resource Depot has tackled Palm Beach County’s growing waste problem by rescuing unwanted and excess materials, turning waste into wonder. Resource Depot collects donations from businesses and individuals and redistributes the items to teachers, artists, families, and other non-profit organizations that need them, encouraging creative, hands-on learning and innovation. Not only does this support arts and education programs by stretching supply budgets, Resource Depot keeps hundreds of thousands of pounds reusable materials out of the landfill each year.
About
The organization is a reuse center which collects business discards, samples and scraps that would ordinarily end up in landfills. These materials are organized and donated free, back to the public for use by educators, parents, children, seniors and other nonprofit agencies.
