The mission of Parent to Parent of Miami is to empower and support a network of families who have children and adults with disabilities. Our vision is that children and adults with disabilities live full, productive lives in increasingly inclusive communities because of the specialized support, hope and hands-on/direct assistance their families received from Parent to Parent of Miami.

Parent to Parent of Miami continues to thrive in Miami Dade County providing support to families who have children with disabilities and special needs. Providing assistance and peer support regarding all disabilities and age groups, for fiscal year 2018-2019, Parent to Parent of Miami helped over 1,237 families with information and resources to better understand their child's disability, providing a link to community resources and much needed advocacy support. Workshops regarding special education law, transition and other disability specific topics were well attended with 763 parent participants. An additional 282 parents were provided with advocacy support at school meetings and with individualized coaching meetings to address educational concerns for their child.
