Increase awareness about the devastating effects of alcoholism and drug dependence on the individual, the family, and the community. NCADD provides the opportunity for recovery through information, education, and support. NCADD's vision is to strengthen families and communities through direct assistance, referrals, education, prevention and public advocacy.

NCADD provides education and prevention programs for schools, community centers, businesses, individuals, families and faith-based organizations in Hinds, Rankin, and Madison counties. They offer information and referral services to individuals and or family members seeking help with alcohol, tobacco and other drug dependencies. NCADD maintains a well-stocked bookstore and library of materials on all 12-step recovery programs. It also serves as an additional resource for children, youth, adults, families and organizations in need of their services. In 2018, NCADD provided education and prevention programs in 18 schools, 42 organizations and 12 faith-based institutions serving approximately 82,000 individuals. Over 2,600 referrals and 10 assessments were made to treatment programs and other 12-step programs.
