Mission

Through providing low cost housing, childcare, and training Greater Peace Community Development Corporation seeks to provide assistance to welfare recipients assisting them in transitioning off welfare into a life of self-sufficiency thereby assisting to revitalize distressed neighborhoods in Alabama.

About

The Greater Peace Child Development Center is a facility constructed to provide affordable childcare for low to moderate income families. The center is licensed to house 112 children from 3 weeks to 9 years of age. The center also has a pre-k program as a part of the 'office to school' readiness. This is the only center in Lee County with this program.
