Smile-A-Mile's mission is to provide hope, healing of the spirit and love for the whole family during the childhood cancer journey. Through year-round meaningful and educational programming, Smile-A-Mile helps those in Alabama who are affected by childhood cancer thrive during treatment and the years beyond.

About

To provide challenging unforgettable recreational and educational activities for young cancer patients across Alabama at no cost to their families. In 2018, approximately 1500 individuals, including children with cancer and their parents, were served through our programs and activities. Through our programs and activities, young cancer patients across Alabama are provided new avenues of fellowship, shared experiences, the ability to openly and freely discuss their disease with others including oncology doctors and nurses in a non-threatening environment. They are also able to build self-esteem and prepare themselves for a life after cancer.
