Of One Accord Ministry began in 1988 to bring a community effort (especially to identify and meet local needs while hope through the love of Jesus Christ. Of One Accord serves the Appalachian Mountains and low income counties of Hawkins and Hancock in East Tennessee. Hancock is the lowest income county of Tennessee and the 27th lowest in the US. Average income for clients is below $600 monthly. There is no industry base, no United Way, no Red Cross; we are the emergency organization. Of One Accord is an example that God is still at work and miracles still happen. We see miracles of this type regularly. We operate: 3 Emergency Food Pantries, 2 Thrift Stores, 1 Free Medical Clinic, 1 Senior Meals Programs, 2 Summer Feeding Programs and 1 Drug Recovery Program. We host 50 mission groups

FOOD PROGRAM/GLOBAL MISSIONSOF ONE ACCORD OPERATES THREE FOOD PANTRIES SERVING ALL OF HAWKINS AND HANCOCK COUNTIES IN APPALACHIAN UPPER EAST TENNESSEE. 31,494 PEOPLE WERE SERVED WITH 1,368,728 POUNDS OF FOOD DURING 2018. OF ONE ACCORD PREPARES AND DELIVERS HOT MEALS TO ELDERLY SENIORS 5 DAYS A WEEK, DELIVERING 5,068 MEALS IN 2018. THROUGH THE USE OF 4 CONVERTED SCHOOL BUSES, 8,545 LUNCHES WERE DELIVERED TO CHILDREN THROUGH THE SUMMER FEEDING PROGRAM. 5,816 PEOPLE WERE SERVED BY THE DISTRIBUTION OF 1,927 THANKSGIVING OR CHRISTMAS FOOD BOXES PREPARED FOR THE HOLIDAYS.HANCOCK COUNTY IS THE LOWEST INCOME COUNTY IN TENNESSEE AND ONE OF THE LOWEST IN OUR NATION. IT HAS LOWER INCOME, HIGHER POVERTY, AND HIGHER UNEMPLOYMENT THAN MANY OF THE LOCAL COUNTIES OF APPALACHIA POVERTY FOUND IN KENTUCKY. MINISTRY LEADERS STILL FIND PEOPLE LIVING WITH NO BATHROOMS IN THEIR HOMES AND SOME WITHOUT INDOOR RUNNING WATER.
