About

MOS&B scholarship program is awarded annually to genealogically proven descendants of Confederate officers or members of the Confederate government. Priority is given to students matriculating from high school to college. Applications are submitted by March 1st of each year to the scholarship committee. Up to six scholarships of $1000 each are awarded annually provided there are enough qualified candidates in the pool. Applicants must be enrolled in an accredited degree-granting two or four year college/university institution before funds are disbursed. Scholarship funds are placed on deposit at the institution where the person is enrolled for the benefit of the awardee. Awarded scholarships are for one year only.
