A DISPROPORTIONATE NUMBER OF PEOPLE HAVE NO HEALTH INSURANCE, AND THE REGION'S MEDICAID ELIGIBILITY IS HIGH COMPARED TO STATE AND NATIONAL AVERAGES. IN THIS CONTEXT, BSHC OFFERS CHARITABLE HEALTH CARE TO LOW-INCOME AND UNINSURED PERSONS AS PART OF ITS COMMITMENT TO ITS CHARITABLE MISSION, BSHC HAS INSTITUTED A CHARITY PROGRAM FOR UNINSURED PATIENTS WHO RECEIVE SERVICES AT ITS FACILITIES.
