Mission

The Louisville Academy of Music provides an inclusive community that nurtures the growth and development of students, not solely as musicians, but as creative, inspired people. We accomplish our mission through high quality private lessons that are tailored to a student's individual needs, empowering them to achieve their very best, a supportive environment which enriches students experience, builds support networks, and encourages friendships through events and educational opportunities, and musical outreach training and performance that inspire students to realize the true joy of sharing music and its essential place in the community.

About

In 2019 we continued to expand and strengthen collaborations locally and nationally, hosted school-wide performances, studio recitals, and celebrated our 65th birthday with the community featuring a showcase of faculty and students. We grew our student body and expanded our offerings to enhance private instrument study. We connected students through group classes including chamber music, electronic music composition, children's choir, "Music Together", and more.
