The Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels is an organization of talented and capable individuals appointed by the Governor of the Commonwealth because of their service. The objective is to support needy Kentucky charities and worthy organizations by raising money from Colonels to help those organizations who stand ready to help our citizens share in Kentucky's boundless future. We are focused on responsible and compassionately impacting people's lives. We rigorously follow our grant selection process. Personally engage with each charity and recognize and celebrate our donors and selected charities. We are an organization of givers. We are accountable to our membership who provide all contributions to the Honorable Order. We embrace the balancing of human needs and quality of life.

TOO FREQUENTLY , THESE FAMILIES ARE CAUGHT IN A DOWNWARD SPIRAL THAT EFFECTS GENERATIONS. UNSKILLED AND SOMEWHAT LACKING IN EDUCATION, THE PARENT IS UNABLE TO PROVIDE A SUITABLE, NURTURING HOME ENVIRONMENT FOR THEIR CHILDREN THAT MOST OF US WOULD DEEM APPROPRIATE. THIS SCHOLARSHIP IS THE BETTER LIFE SCHOLARSHIP AND HOKC HAS AWARDED OVER $1,000,000 IN COLLEGE FUNDING. SINCE HOKC BEGAN A 501(C)(3) ORGANIZATION, CLOSE TO $50 MILLION DOLLARS HAS BEEN AWARDED.
