Mounts Botanical Garden provides a comprehensive general education program to community residents centered on horticulture and environmental science. Mounts Botanical Garden also hosts several plant shows/sales throughout the year including a special orchid sale, rare plants, and tropical fruit plants/trees. Along with the adult education program, Mounts Botanical Garden has an extensive school program, serving over 3000 students this last year. The school program focuses on water and plant conservation, the diversity and functions of plants, and creating a sustainable future. Students learn through hands-on, interactive projects and tours. Windows on the Floating World: Blume Tropical Wetland Garden (WOTFW) serves as the garden's largest and most extensive demonstration garden. WOTFW features a waterfall, window walkways on the surface of the water, a bromeliad wall, and an observation deck. WOTFW provides an outdoor classroom for teaching students and visitors about wetlands, habitat conservation and environmental stewardship. This project was funded by contributions from various individuals and organizations including the La Kretz Fund, the Batchelor Foundation, and Palm Beach County.
