Accredited by the American Alliance of Museums, the Cummer Museum of Art & Gardens is the largest, most comprehensive fine arts museum in the North Florida region. Through exhibitions, public programs, educational outreach, and the care and presentation of the finest collection and gardens in the region, the museum serves over 165,000 individuals annually.

The Cummer offers world-class art spanning 2100 B.C. through the 21st century, and features special exhibits from around the world. The permanent collection includes masterpieces created by Peter Paul Rubens, Winslow Homer, Thomas Moran, Norman Rockwell, and Romare Bearden. It is also the home to the Wark collection of early Meissen porcelain, one of the three most outstanding collections of its kind in the world. The museum's historic gardens are unique examples of early 20th century garden design with features such as reflecting pools, fountains, arbors and sculptures. A prominent attraction in the gardens is the 175-200 year old oak tree the Cummer Oak.
