About this organization
Mission
The mission of Brevard County Legal Aid is to provide free civil legal services to indigent persons in Brevard County, Florida. Since there is no statutory right to representation in civil legal matters, Legal Services and Legal Aid programs attempt to provide such services to persons unable to afford the fees for private attorneys in an attempt to carry out the nation's aspirational theory of equal access to justice. Locally the Voluntary Bar Association of the Brevard County Bar Association, founded the Legal Aid programs in 1970.
