IN ADDITION TO THE ONGOING MANAGEMENT OF THE ASSOCIATION WORK PROGRAM GWMA ADDED THE FOLLOWING OBJECTIVES FOR 2018: - INITIAL REVIEW OF THE SERVICE DELIVERY STRATEGY (SDS) AGREEMENTS WITH GWINNETT COUNTY. THE STATE-MANDATED AGREEMENT BETWEEN GWINNETT COUNTY AND THE 16 GWINNETT CITIES IS DUE FOR RENEWAL BY NOVEMBER 2019. PRIOR TO ENTERING A NEW SDS, THE PARTIES BEGAN REVIEW OF THE EXISTING SDS THROUGHOUT 2018 AND POLLED MEMBER CITIES ON NEEDS FOR ANY CHANGES AND UPDATES. - COORDINATE GWINNETT CITIES' DISTRIBUTION AGREEMENTS FOR TITLE AD VALOREM TAX (TAVT) AND ENERGY EXCISE TAX PURPOSES BY PROVIDING OFFICIAL CERTIFICATION TO THE STATE OF GEORGIA THAT THE 16 CITIES CONTINUE THE TAVT COLLECTION AND DISTRIBUTION AMOUNTS BASED ON THE 2013 AGREEMENT USING CITY POPULATION ESTIMATES FROM THE ATLANTA REGIONAL COMMISSION. - SUPPORT OF GWINNETT COUNTY'S BICENTENNIAL. GWINNETT'S CITIES, LED BY LAWRENCEVILLE MAYOR JUDY JORDON JOHNSON, PLANNED AND CONDUCTED A COUNTY- WIDE "TORCH RUN" HIGHLIGHTING ALL GWINNETT CITIES, HISTORIC PARKS AND RECREATION FACILITIES. GWMA SUPPORTED THE GWINNETT COUNTY PUBLIC SCHOOLS RUNNERS AS THEY HONORED PEOPLE, BUILDINGS, PARKS AND OTHER HISTORICALLY SIGNIFICANT STRUCTURES. - CONDUCT LEGISLATIVE VISITS AND CREATING NETWORKING OPPORTUNITIES DURING THE 2018 GENERAL ASSEMBLY BY COORDINATING REGULAR VISITS IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE GWINNETT MUNICIPAL ASSOCIATION, PREPARING SUPPORT DOCUMENTATION FOR OFFICIALS AND SUPPORTING "HOMETOWN CONNECTION" VISITS SCHEDULED BY MEMBER CITIES.
