About
Lighthouse Family Retreat, Inc. ("Lighthouse"), established in 1999, is a ministry that serves families living through childhood cancer. The program is designed to create environments on seaside retreats that provide a week away from the chaos of childhood cancer for families to rest, reconnect as a family, experience joy and find hope in God. Lighthouse is supported through the contributions of interested individuals, churches, foundations, and businesses. In 2018 Lighthouse served over 197 families at 18 retreats. More than 1,956 volunteers served during the year at the retreats, and vendors also participated in the retreat by providing meals, supplies and discounting or donating the use of beach homes for the retreat.
