About
Summer residential leadership programs. This flagship program of 21st Century Leaders, Inc. is a leadership development program for high school youth comprised of three one-week residential leadership institutes on college campuses, working with diverse peers and business professionals. In 2019, we hosted our second year of our summer immersion pilot program in which we served 13 high school seniors through our one-week program and then a job shadowing/internship experience with a corporate or community party. Each student will receive a 1,000 scholarship to their post-secondary education, while students from 2018 summer received their scholarship to their selected university. In the most recently completed program year these summer programs served 244 students led by nearly 400 business and professional volunteers. 57% of students report discovering a new career field that they're now interested in as a result of our program, while 59% students said their career interest was reaffirmed. 90% of students report an increase in their teamwork skills, critical thinking, and business knowledge after attending our programs.
