OTHER HIGHLIGHTS DURING 2018 INCLUDED: 1)GEAUX FORTH 2018: LARTL HOSTED THIS NINTH ANNUAL EVENT IN WASHINGTON, D.C., WHICH WAS PROJECTED TO DRAW MORE THAN 1,300 LOUISIANA HIGH SCHOOL AND COLLEGE STUDENTS IN THE NATION'S CAPITOL FOR THE MARCH FOR LIFE. 2) WITH THE PULSE LEADERSHIP INSTITUTE SESSION IN 2018, THE TOTAL NUMBER OF TRAINING SESSIONS HELD SINCE 2010 IS: 9 - THE TOTAL NUMBER OF PLI STUDENTS TRAINED IS MORE THAN 522. LARTL HOSTED THREE PULSE IMMERSION WEEKENDS, AND 139 STUDENTS WERE TRAINED AT THE THREE CAMPS TO BE PRO-LIFE LEADERS. THIS BRINGS THE TOTAL IMMERSION WEEKENDS TO 29 SINCE 2008 AND THE NUMBER OF STUDENTS TRAINED TO MORE THAN 1,089. ALSO, DURING 2018, THERE WERE 11 ACTIVE COLLEGE PRO-LIFE GROUPS. ADDITIONALLY, WE CONTINUED TO STAGE PULSE RALLIES AND TEAM MEETINGS THROUGHOUT THE STATE. THE HIGH SCHOOL ORATORY CONTEST WAS HELD IN MAY IN BATON ROUGE AND A VERMILLION CATHOLIC STUDENT TOOK STATE HONORS AND THEN REPEATED HIS FIRST PLACE SUCCESS AT THE NATIONAL LEVEL. THROUGH THE ELEVEN ACTIVE PRO-LIFE GROUPS ON LOUISIANA COLLEGE CAMPUSES, DYNAMIC STUDENT-LED LEADERSHIP ARE ENGAGING COLLEGE STUDENTS IN PRO-LIFE ISSUES THROUGH WEEKLY MEETINGS AND IN A ONE-ON-ONE MANNER.
