In 2018, STF demonstrated dedication to its mission to plant, preserve, and protect trees. STF planted canopy trees across Chatham County specifically focused on planting over 100 trees for environmental equity and gave away over 250 seedlings to the public. Over 500 trees were cared for with mulching, watering, weeding, and pruning. More than 100 people of all ages attended STF educational programs and over 300 volunteers participated in work projects learning how to better care for trees. STF continued its ongoing stewardship of the historic 300+-year old Candler Oak in Savannah's national historic landmark district.
