Instruction - Rabun Gap - Nacoochee School is a 110-plus year old independent boarding and day school providing co-education college-preparatory in grades five through twelve that has a historic relationship with the Presbyterian Church. Rabun Gap - Nacoochee School (RGNS) educated approximately 580 students from 50 countries and 15 states for the current fiscal year with an average class size of 11. The Middle School had an enrollment of approximately 125 boys and girls. International students comprise approximately 25 percent of the student body. The faculty averages 15 years of teaching experience, with an average of 8 years at RGNS. Of the 54 classroom teachers and 1 residential faculty, 75 percent hold graduate degrees or higher. Advanced Placement (AP) courses are offered in all academic departments with over 125 students enrolled in an AP course and the majority of the AP candidates received a score of 3 or higher, making them eligible to receive college credit for their work.
