The Greater Anderson Musical Arts Consortium, Inc. is a non-profit, tax exempt, musical performing arts and educational organization serving the Anderson, SC community and the surrounding area. With a mission to provide high quality cultural experiences that enrich the quality of life in the Anderson area, GAMAC is a unique blend of music professionals and local volunteers who strive to bring a vital artistic awareness and service to the community. Consisting of nine constituent ensembles, GAMAC presents three annual concert series: Masterworks, Anderson Symphony Orchestra and the Youth Series. Governed by a board of directors, GAMAC relies on annual funding from individuals, corporations, local businesses and ticket sales to fund its operating expenses. Additional funding from private foundations, local and state grants also fund a portion of expenses.
