Meals On Wheels - Help for our Homebound The mission of Meals On Wheels of Asheville-Buncombe County is to provide hot, nutritious meals to the elderly homebound, thus allowing them to live in their own homes.

MOW-ABC operates Monday thru Friday with a Board of Directors, 12-member staff and a network of over 300 volunteers. Meal delivery is available to 500 Buncombe County seniors age 60 and older who are homebound, without regard to race, religion, national origin, sex, handicap or ability to pay. Over 85% of our operating support comes through private donations from individuals, program income, businesses, faith-based groups and foundations, as well as annual fundraising events. MOW-ABC receives 15% of its funding through local, county, and state agencies. In FY 2018/2019 MOW-ABC served 97,791 meals to 779 clients throughout Buncombe County.
