Matthew's Crossing Food Bank's mission is to provide food and other basic necessities to our neighbors in need and to unite our community in the fight against hunger. Our values are - compassion * dignity * hope. We strive to provide hunger relief to our neighbors in need with compassion so that they can preserve their dignity and hope for a healthier and happier future.
About
Supporting individuals and families in the East Valley, each month the organization feeds more than 3,500 people. The organization also serves people between jobs, those on fixed incomes, seniors, people with disabilities, and homeless clients. During FY 2018, the organization raised record high during night to fight hunger, increased number of clients served primarily through student hunger relief programs, doubled the amount of food drives, added senior food boxes in partnership with St. Mary's Food Bank, received Grand Slam Award of 100,000 for purchase of a refrigerated box truck with lift gate and began rebrand journey.
