A national park service NPS program was carried out during 2017. Eleven parks were visited by 2103 youth and adult visitors affiliated with NAFJ pen or pencil schools and organizations. NAFJ completed a five module lesson plan and activities guide let me read you your rights in cooperation with Jefferson Natl Expension Memorial and Ulysses Grant National Historic Parks. NAFJ presented a two day training symposium for students from each of the 3 Ferguson Florissant high schools. NAFJ facilitated strategies from goals 1a, b and c, 2b, c, and 3a of the NPS strategic plan. NAFJ coordinated and moderated free or not to be , a national underground railroad braintrust during the 2016 CBC legislative conference in Washington DC. This session featured presenters from the NPS and was attended by over 100 persons including high school students.
