About
Domestic Policy: C2ES works with communities and businesses across the U.S. to forge climate solutions. We conducted research and produced reports and webinars on topics ranging from resilience strategies for wildfires and drought, to preserving nuclear power, to cities using renewable power purchase agreements. We conducted educational campaigns on carbon pricing options and carbon capture for storage or commercial use. We tracked federal and state policy proposals for electric vehicles and financing of renewable and efficiency programs. We gathered dozens of U.S. mayors and business leaders to talk about greenhouse gas reduction and building resilient cities during the Global Climate Action Summit in San Francisco. We helped bring in diverse voices to a workshop in Phoenix on resilience measures and heat readiness. We held a national workshop in Baltimore training cities on prioritizing resilience strategies to meet their communities' unique needs and to align with their equity goals. We also created near-term policy recommendations for how the U.S. can jumpstart the decarbonization of our economy.
