Loudoun Hunger Relief provided food relief to low income and disadvantaged persons and families located principally in Loudoun County. LHR distributed 1.6 million pounds of free food to families and organizations to help alleviate hunger in Loudoun County. Individual households were provided food on 64,000 occasions throughout the year. In FY19, LHR distributed 285,000 pounds of fresh produce, sharing more than 50,000 pounds of that produce with other organizations assisting another 10,000 people in Loudoun and beyond. Renovations at the pantry have enabled the opportunity for families to choose some of their own food giving dignity, freedom and choice and allowing LHR to make better use of our resources.
