The Campagna Center works to ensure that all children served through its early care and education programs arrive at school ready to learn, and that students served through school-aged and high school programs have opportunities to enrich their academic and social skills through high quality recreational, educational, tutoring, and mentoring programs.  Finally, we work with families to enhance self-sufficiency by providing English classes to improve their English skills and facilitate their ability to participate in our economy and to support their children as they matriculate through our public school system.

EARLY CHILDHOOD PROGRAMS PARTICIPATE IN SEVERAL QUALITY RELATED INITIATIVES, INCLUDING SITE ACCREDITATION THROUGH THE NATIONAL ASSOCIATION FOR THE EDUCATION OF YOUNG CHILDREN AND THE VIRGINIA START QUALITY RATING PROGRAM.EARLY HEAD START PROMOTES SCHOOL READINESS AND PROVIDES CARE FOR CHILDREN AGES 0 TO 3 FROM LOW-INCOME AND EXPECTANT FAMILIES. EARLY HEAD START OFFERS COMPREHENSIVE SERVICES - EDUCATIONAL, SOCIAL, PHYSICAL HEALTH, MENTAL HEALTH, AND NUTRITION - TO ENSURE THAT CHILDREN ARE GETTING OFF TO THE VERY BEST POSSIBLE START IN LIFE.
