Mission

The Children's Home Society mission is to build strong permanent families and lifelong relationships for Virginia's at-risk children and youth. Our vision is that every child be part of a thriving family.

About

The Possibilities Project provides housing and supportive services to youth who have aged out of foster care without a family. Supportive services are provided in six major areas: 1) safe, stable housing, 2) employment and career development, 3) post-secondary education, 4) financial management, 5) health and mental healthcare, and 6) establishing permanent relationships with supportive adults. Housing is provided through a partnership that CHS has with the Better Housing Coalition. The goal of the program is to position the youth to be productive and independent citizens.
