Provide free, high quality dental and medical care to low-income, uninsured adult residents in St Johns County.

In 2018 Good Samaritan Health Centers, the only non-profit healthcare facility in St Johns County offering no cost treatment services, provided 3,131 patient visits to 1,270 patients. 1,553 of those visits were for dental extractions, fillings, and cleanings while 1,578 of the visits were for medical services including primary care, women's health, chronic care, mental health, dermatology, lab results, vision, ENT and physical therapy. Utilizing a professional volunteer model, services are provided at the West St Augustine clinic and in tandem with St Vincent's Healthcare mobile medical and dental buses. Additional patient services were provided by referral to a network of community-based specialty practitioners. Services are provided to all qualified residents at no cost.In addition, the Good Samaritan Health Centers Outreach Team provided health screenings, healthcare education, basic first aid and wound care, and referrals at 228 community based clinics. The team accomplished this through 3,163 patient encounters across St Johns County in tandem with partner agencies that serve underserved and homeless residents. This team works to ensure the residents have access to flu shots, and for those living outdoors access to bug spray to prevent bite infections and basic supplies such as socks, sleeping bags and blankets to protect them from the elements.The clinic is staffed and supported primarily by 111 volunteer physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, dentists, and 110-trained clerical personnel who provided 2,441 hours of service valued at $593,786. An additional 65 volunteers provided 650 hours to assist with office support, grounds and building maintenance, and event planning.
