Talbot Mentors works to ensure all young people in Talbot County, MD have the opportunity to mature into engaged and productive members of their communities. Through consistent support, guidance, coaching and role modeling, our volunteer mentors instill values and standards, help these young people prepare for success in their personal and professional lives, and increase their quality of life expectations. Our long-term objectives are focused by our 2016 5-year strategic plan- 1) Steadily grow the number of one-to-one mentor/mentee matches to 200 over five years; 2) Prepare for growth by becoming an evidence-based organization, improving the mentoring program quality and quantifying outcomes; and 3) Research additional mentorship ideas to serve young adults not currently reached.
