Public health laboratory technical assistance: The Association of Public Health Laboratories, Inc. (APHL) strengthens the public health laboratory system by promoting quality public health practice, improving the public health infrastructure, and strengthening the public health laboratory system in developing a well-trained workforce. APHL also works to address leadership and other issues as it relates to staffing in the highest levels of public health laboratories. This program also ensures that APHL can serve as the clearinghouse of information by, about, and for the public health laboratories.
